Project Life: Week 5

Here is my week 5 layout of Project Life.

Here is the full layout.

Side one.

Side two.

I’m very happy with the way this is coming together. Now that I’m caught up it feels so much better :) I’m having so much fun with this and I’m so glad I have it. I may end up getting a different binder than what I have – right now I have a Recollections Craft 12×12 binder (this one..)

Buttttt I want to get this one
It’s super cute and I think it would last longer than the one I currently have. It’s also leather .. which makes it that much better :)
On another note – our Hawaii trip is less than 2 months away and we can’t wait! We’re going to Maui for 2 weeks, if anyone has any tips, ideas, or suggestions on things to do – please comment below and let me know! I’m working on an “itinerary” and figuring out what we’re going to do and when.
Happy February!

Project Life: First page to Week 4 layouts

This is my first real Project Life post! I finally finished my title page and weeks one through four! I am posting ALL of my pictures below of all of the pages, there’s 13 photos…so get ready :) I had so much fun doing this and can’t wait to keep going. I plan on doing each week on Sunday for the previous week. Now that I’m all caught up it should be easy to do. Here we go..

This is my “title page” / I may add something else to it but this is what I have right now.

The next 3 photos are from week one.
The next 3 photos are from week two.
The next 3 photos are from week three.
The next 3 photos are from week four.
There you have it. I may add a little more on some of the pages, I just can’t think of what to add yet and I’m still waiting on a few things to come in the mail :)
leave comments and let me know what you think or what ideas you have! :)

Project Life: Weekly Card Tutorial

I did a step by step on how I’m going to make my Project Life weekly cards :) If you’ve never heard of Project Life or want to learn more about it – go here! Becky Higgins is the creator and her website is amazing and has a lot of ideas/inspirations. I’ve been hearing and seeing a lot of it on Instagram and ever since I saw it the first time I wanted to do it. I bought my 12″x12″ binder from Michael’s on sale along with some other goodies to use for this. I’ve always been into scrapbooking and keeping things, so what better way than to use Project Life to show it all off. I do have some SmashBooks that I use as well for other things but I’ll be doing Project Life weekly. Okay, so on to the tutorial!

These are the items I use in this tutorial:

→ Recollections Cardstock paper (white) 4.5″x6.5′ (will be trimmed to size)
→ Recollections Cardstock paper (The All Seasons pad) – or any patterned paper
→ Month printout, which was found here
→ Creative Memories corner maker punch and the heart punch (other brands of these can be found at Michaels)
→ Hello Kitty date stamp and ink
Mini glue dots
→ Elmer’s Craft bond glue stick
→ Staedtler fineliner pens
→ Assorted washi tape
→ Not pictured: Fiskars paper trimmer & Cricut Create
Step ONE
Trim white cardstock paper to be 4″x6″ – this will be used in the bigger pockets in the Design A pocket pages
Step TWO
Use the corner maker punch to round the edges on the card
Step THREE
Choose a sheet of paper from the patterned pad/paper you have (I’m using the Recollection’s All Seasons paper pad). Cut to fill approximately 1/4 of the white card. I cut mine to be a tad bit more than 2″x4″.
Step FOUR
Attach the patterned paper to the card. I’ve put mine on the right side using the glue dots, then used the  corner maker punch to round the corners of the patterned paper.
Step FIVE
Cut out the month from the printout and color in the week using whatever you have :)
Step SIX
Attach the calendar to the card in the blank space (mine will be the upper left corner). I’m using the glue dots for this and I’ve also added some washi tape.
Step SEVEN
Use the date stamp and ink to stamp the dates (this week would be Jan 1 – Jan 5). I used a black ink pad instead of the red one that’s pictured and drew an arrow with a black pen. Then used the Cricut to create the wording “week 1″ (you can also use alpha letters). I used the Don Juan cartridge with a piece of black cardstock (not pictured) and created 1” lettering. All lettering is attached with the glue stick.
Step EIGHT
The last step, I used the smaller heart punch and punched hearts from the extra black cardstock and added them with glue dots.
That’s it! Easy peasy! You can always add more to your card and make it how YOU want it. This is the card I’ll be using for week one when I get my PL goodies in. Please leave comments! What do your weekly cards look like?
