Recipe: Apple Pie Spread

My aunt made this a few years ago for a family cookout, it was so good! Earlier this month we had a potluck at work and I wanted to make it to take. I found the receipe online, went and bought everything and it was a hit at work :) I didn’t take pictures or anything last time when I made it so I wanted it again and wanted to share it on my blog!

1 8oz package of cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon of apple juice
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon or apple pie spice (I used the apple pie spice)
1 medium red apple, chopped (I used a Fiji apple and I think it was bigger than medium)
1/4 cup chopped pecans (I used the whole little bag which is a 1/2 cup)



1) With a mixer, mix the softened cream cheese and apple juice


2) Beat in the brown sugar and apple pie spice (or cinnamon)


3) Stir in chopped apples and pecans


After this, I put it in the fridge until the cream cheese isn’t creamy. I serve mine with regular crackers – I have the Town House Orginial Crackers :)

Recipe: Cinnamon Roll Waffles

So, I do like spending time on Pinterest looking at… well, everything. I came across this “recipe” that a few people had posted so I repinned it. We went grocery shopping last week and I got what I needed to make this for breakfast yesterday morning. It was oh so good! I was even able to save one for breakfast tomorrow, if it’s still in there and not eaten…

Here’s what you’ll need:
– any kind of cinnamon rolls (I used the Pillsbury Grands – Cinnabon with Cream Cheese frosting)
– Pam spray
– a Waffle maker – i got this one from Bed Bath and Beyond

First, pull apart the cinnamon rolls – in this one, there was 5.. I just put them on a plate. Make sure the waffle maker is hot and ready. Spray Pam onto both sides of the waffle maker and put one (or two) rolls on the bottom then shut the lid. Mine beeps when it’s “done” but I left them in a little longer to make sure they were done. While the last two were in the waffle maker, I took the icing and put it in a small glass dish and warmed it in the microwave for about 25 seconds. When the last cinnamon rolls were done, I had them all on a plate then drizzled the frosting over them. Wah-la … it’s that easy!

Recipe: Crock Pot Ranch Porkchops

I found this recipe on Pinterest, which lead me here. Probably one of the easiest recipes EVER! They turned out so good and had a lot of flavor! thank you Renee for posting this :)

I used 2 packs of porkchops so there would be leftovers, a pack of Ranch dressing (not dip) mix, 2 cans of cream of chicken and one can of water.

Here’s everything I used.. and by everything, I mean 3 ingredients.. well, 4 if you count the water.

Put everything in the crockpot – i put the porkchops in then the ranch and then both cans of cream of chicken and one can of water… then stirred it all together. Cooked it on low for 6 hours. I think next time I’ll use less water and maybe not cook it so long. The porkchops pretty much fell apart, which is okay with me but not what I was expecting.

I made mashed potatoes as the side and used the gravy from the crockpot – SO GOOD!

A very very easy crock pot recipe with not many ingredients! Let me know if you’ve had this and what you thought of it.
